Ramaderia extensiva en temps d’incertesa al Pirineu: Adaptacions locals a canvis socioambientals

Resum

La ramaderia extensiva ha estat històricament una forma de vida i una activitat que ha configurat el paisatge pirinenc. Al llarg dels segles, les societats ramaderes pirinenques han desenvolupat pràctiques i estratègies d’aprofitament de les pastures per tal de maximitzar-ne l’eficiència en l’ús col·lectiu. Aquests aprofitaments, generalment considerats sostenibles i adaptatius, s’han anat modificant en marcs socioambientals canviants. A partir d’una etnografia amb perspectiva geogràfica, aquesta recerca busca comprendre com es constitueixen les pràctiques i els coneixements ramaders locals, alhora posant de manifest quins són els processos de canvi —locals i globals— que els emmarquen, incloent-hi el canvi climàtic. Els resultats perfilen un manteniment dels coneixements, les pràctiques i les formes de governança col·lectiva. Tanmateix, la recerca evidencia un procés progressiu de desempoderament i desarticulació d’aquest corpus de coneixements i formes d’organització durant les darreres dècades, que posa en risc tant la continuïtat de la pràctica ramadera com el paisatge local. En aquest context, ramaderes i ramaders afronten un escenari d’incertesa creixent en què els factors polítics i socioeconòmics tendeixen a prevaler sobre els biofísics i limiten la seva capacitat de decisió.
