Resum

Arran d’alguns dels processos urbans que han tingut lloc a la ciutat contemporània, l’espai públic ha esdevingut un concepte d’ús comú. Tanmateix, la inflació discursiva generada es desenvolupà paral·lelament a la desestabilització de la seva conceptualització geogràfica. L’esgotament d’unes maneres de fer, heretades del pensament modern, massa encotillades en una previsible i avorrida xarxa d’oposicions binàries, dificultava descobrir i descriure res que no estigués prescrit d’alguna manera. A més a més, l’aparició d’unes epistemologies més creatives i experimentals, instigades per un inusitat debat ontològic, portarà a considerar que qualsevol recerca sobre l’espai públic s’hagi d’abordar des de la perspectiva d’una multiplicitat relacional que nega la seva condició de «realitat donada» i en qüestiona les aproximacions més normatives.
