A tradition of methodological renewal: notes on the IV Coloquio de Geografía Cuantitativa

Abstract

The IV Coloquio de Geografía Cuantitativa, was held in Barcelona between 25th and 28th September 1990, under the auspices of the Grupo de Métodos Cuantitativos de la Asociación de Geógrafos Españoles and locally organized by the Departament de Ciències de la Terra de la Universitat de les Illes Balears. This paper summarizes the contents of such meeting to the author's opinion reveal the constant effort of renewal of the quantitative tradition in the Spanish geography.
