Environmental Education: Notes on Two Initiatives

Abstract

Two seminars on the topic of environmental education were held within the space of one month during the autumn of 1991. The first took place in Burgos on 27th, 28th and 29th September, and was organized by the Association of Spanish Geographers under the title of I1 Jonadas de Didáctica de la Geografía (IInd Seminar on Didactics in Geography). The second meeting was held at Sestri Levante on 25th, 26th and 27th October. The topic of the seminar was «L'ambiente nella formazione del cittadino europeo»«The environment in the education of the European citizen», and it was organized by the Centro di Iniziativa Democratica degli Insegnanti under the auspices of the General Direction XI of the EEC and UNESCO.
