Abstract

This note includes, first, a short biography of Lluís Casassas, followed by a presentation of his academic works that are mainly focused on the regional analysis of Catalonia. The role of Lluís Casassas within the Societat Catalana de Geografia is stressed, as well as the main traits of his personality which made him an influential master and humanist.
