The UAB Map Library: notes for a user guide

Abstract

This note provides instructions for the use of the Map Library at UAB. The author describes and explains the principal methods of identification of the material available:

1. a) the location of the documents in the Library, and their relation to the Inventory, and
2. b) the geographical reference system applied in the compiling of the Catalogue.

Indeed, the system of identification is fundamental in allowing each user to verify what cartographic information is available in the Library for each study area.
