Servicios ecosistémicos, valores del paisaje y sostenibilidad cultural en proyectos de restauración ecológica

Resumen

La restauración ecológica se basa fundamentalmente en el marco teórico de los servicios ecosistémicos; pero este marco presenta importantes carencias al no considerar la dimensión cultural del lugar en los objetivos de la restauración. En este estudio se plantea, a partir de una revisión bibliográfica, cómo las investigaciones basadas en los valores culturales del paisaje pueden complementar el marco teórico de los servicios ecosistémicos situando de nuevo a los humanos como una parte integral del paisaje y no sólo como un agente de degradación de los ecosistemas naturales. En el artículo se identifican las principales críticas y carencias de la teoría de los servicios ecosistémicos, con especial énfasis en los servicios ecosistémicos culturales. Finalmente, se dibujan conexiones entre ambos cuerpos teóricos y se introducen métodos idóneos de recogida de datos en relación con el marco de investigación planteado.
