Segregació residencial i ocupacional de la població africana a l’Espanya del segle XXI
Resum
La migració africana a Espanya va desenvolupar un paper pioner en la transició de país d’emigració a un d’immigració. Tot i els intensos fluxos d’altres orígens a partir de l’any 2000, els africans segueixen essent un dels col·lectius més importants. Es caracteritzen per una gran dispersió territorial, però amb nivells elevats de segregació laboral i residencial. L’anàlisi de la relació entre aquests nivells a escala autonòmica és l’objectiu principal d’aquest treball, en comparació amb la resta d’immigrats. Les preguntes a les quals respon aquesta investigació, realitzada a partir del càlcul de l’índex de dissimilitud i de l’anàlisi de correlacions de Pearson, són: 1) com es modifiquen els nivells de segregació residencial i ocupacional segons el sexe i l’origen?; 2) en quina mesura es veuen afectats per la influència de la conjuntura econòmica?, i 3) quina és la correlació entre ocupació i segregació residencial?
