Abstract

Dr. Sophie Bowlby was invited to Barcelona by the British Council and the Departament de Geografia (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) in May 1987. She gave two lectures on the new developments of gender geography in Britain, and analyzed the changing gender and spatial division of labour in British and American cities.
