Dr. Lluís Soler & Sabarís, professor of physical geography (1908–1985)

Abstract

This article is a tribute to Dr. L. Solé Sabarís, with whom the authors had close personal contact during the 1960. The article emphasises certain aspects of his contribution to teaching, including his unique personality and the importance which he attached to field and practical work since their early teching days at the Institut - Escola of the Parque de la Ciudadela in Barcelona, where Dr. Solé Sabaris had been a lecturer since 1933. Throughout his years of lecturing at the University of Barcelona, there is ample evidence of his didactical style and his far-reaching vision of Physical Geography.
